Guest tax - why?

€ 2,30 for each night and each person older than 14 years is accounted by the host as guest tax, which is charged by the municipality - in the shoulder season from Sunday after Eastern till Ascension day and from the 1st of November till the 15th of December the guest tax is € 1,65.  

What's the use of it? - you will surely aks - how do I profit?

The guest tax is not a hidden tax or disposal, which runs into general financial positions of the municipality, but a mite, which is used completely for the equipments and services, which are established to beautify your holiday. Moreover, the correct use of this money is controlled by the county.

Financed is the operation and care of the following equipments and services: 

• walserbus
• Walser Museum, Bergschau, Skimuseum
• 150 km summer hiking trails & 50 km winter hiking trails
• park benchs, Kneipp water basins
• Guided tours, concerts
• Cross-country ski runs
• Tennis courts
• Support of various events
• and a lot more 

To visit and use all these attractions free of charge or with reductions, you get from your host the Allgäu-Walser-Card - your ticket for the holiday region Kleinwalsertal-Oberstdorf.  

 

Distribution of Allgäu-Walser-Card

For the distribution of the guest card (Allgäu-Walser-Card - Version Kleinwalsertal) the regulation according to the municipal decision of 9th of July 2001is valid. 

 

Excerpt from the municipal decision: 

All guests staying at an accommodation in Kleinwalsertal, get a guest card for the complete duration of the stay for the following prices per night:
