Fishing passes for the Breitach are available during the fishing season which runs from the 15th May until 31st August.
The passes are available in the tourism office located in the Walserhaus, Hirschegg.
Price
5 day pass from Monday to Friday € 200,-
3 day pass - not valid Saturday and Sunday € 120,-
plus an extra cost for the catch list/ per pass € 10,-
(This is returned when you return the catch list)
Fishing passes are only available to guests over the age of 18 years or to persons from the age of 14 years who are accompanied by an educated fisherman, who is required to also be in possession of a 3 or 5 daypass. The fishing pass is only available to those guests with a valid Allgäu Walser guest card.
The following points outline the rules of fishing in Kleinwalsertal:
- Fishing is permitted only with a fly set and attached barbed hook.
- Only 1 fishing rod may be used.
- Minimum for river and/or Rainbow trout is 30cm. Any fish caught under this measurement is to be immediately and carefully placed back in the water. Injured (bleeding) fish are not to be returned to the water, they will however, be counted towards your daily catch limit.
- The daily catch limit is a maximum of 3 fish. Each fish that is caught is to be registered in the catch list
- Commercial use of the catch (exchange or sales) is forbidden.
- The fishing pass is non transferable. It must be carried at all times whilst fishing and on demand, be shown to members of the fishing association.
- The neglect of these regulations can result in the immediate withdrawal of your fishing authorization without remuneration and can result in an official penalty.
- The Fishery Association of Kleinwalsertal is not responsible for accidents in or outside of the fishing district.
- The fishable area is only in the Breitach from Baad to Riezlern ending at the "Alte Schwendebrücke". No other side rivers or areas maybe fished.
