In the valley an incredibly big network of tracks is available to you with more than 50 kms of prepared winter walking footpaths.

Most ways are between 1100m and 1400m height elevation.

Recommended and easily reached with two chair lifts are the 3 or 5 kms long walking track in the Ifen area up to 2000m in height.

Baader Höhenweg
From Mittelberg church along the Moosstrasse and past the Walmendingerhorn Station to the end of the road; along the Höhenweg to Erlenboden and Alpenwald, descent to Baad.

Wildental
Circular Route. From Mittelberg church past the music pavilion down Mühleweg to Bödmen, turn left at Sport Winkel into Wildentalstrasse until the Schwendle area, right towards the Gasthof Schwendle inn to Bergheim Moser until Wiesalpe, down to the left to Höfle, down to the right at Haus Bergidyll to the Breitach, then back to Mittelberg via Höflerweg.

Breitachweg
From Baad bus stop parallel to the cross-country ski route in the direction of Bödmen, in Mittelberg it continues over the Breitachweg, below the Aparthotel turn in the direction of  Hirschegg, Dürenboden, at Naturstadl right into Leidtobelweg and continue, past the Hotel Sonnenhof over the Leidtobel bridge (Leidtobel chapel) and Zwerwald to Riezlern.

Nebenwasser-Letze
Circular route. From Walserhaus/Tourism Office Hirschegg past the church into Dürenbodenstrasse past Naturstadl, continue over the Breitach, into Nebenwasser, towards the Schwabenhütte (Alpine hut), shortly before the Schwabenhütte turn left towards Riezlern Jahnhütte into the Letze area, cross the Leidtobelbrücke bridge and return to Hirschegg

From Walserhaus/Tourism Office Hirschegg past the church into Dürenbodenstrasse continue to the Breitach, up towards Mittelberg Höfle to Wiesalpe; past Bergheim Moser into the Schwendle area, along Wildentalstrasse until Bödmen or return via the Breitachweg and the Höflerweg to Mittelberg village.

Wäldele
From Walserhaus/Tourism Office Hirschegg turn right into Gerbeweg, up to Rohrweg, turn right along Rohrweg to Café Walserblick; turn right into Schwarzwassertalstrasse, follow this for approx. 200 m , then left towards Wäldele, via the Schwarzwasserbach into Oberwäldele and up to the Gasthaus Küren inn; return to Hirschegg along the Wäldelestrasse and Oberseitestrasse.

At the Auenhütte Alpine hut (Ifen car park), left past the chairlift station onto the hiking trail to Melköde, but continue to climb up here to the Schwarzwasserhütte (Alpine hut). Return using the same route.

Rundwanderweg Gottesacker
Circular route, elev. 2030m. Up to the Auenhütte with both chairlifts to the mountain station Hahnenköpfle/Bergadler, from there is a beautiful panoramic circular trail leading over Gottesacker.

Höhenweg Söllereck
High trail. From the casino/Post Office bus stop right past the Hotel Jagdhof into Westeggweg – Oberwestegg and on to Bergstüble and then Mittelalpe, past the Schrattenwangalpe to the mountain station of the Söllereck ski area. Return to Kleinwalsertal by regular bus from the Söllereck bus stop.

From the casino/Post Office bus stop out of the valley and left at Drogeriemarkt Schlecker into Leo-Müller-Strasse, left into Fellhornweg again at Walserdruck and down to the Waldfesthalle, past this to Schwendetobel, cross the bridge and turn right into Schwende, right again past the Hotel Bellevue towards Ausserschwende, turn left at Gasthof Bergblick inn to Klausenwald and up to the Gasthof Hörnlepass inn.

From the casino/Post Office bus stop out of the valley and left at Drogeriemarkt Schlecker into Leo-Müller-Strasse, left into Fellhornweg again at Walserdruck and down to the Schwendetobel, cross the bridge and turn right into Schwende, right again past the Hotel Bellevue towards Ausserschwende, turn right at the Gasthof Bergblick inn over the Straußbergweg towards Fuchslochalpe and Waldhaus and on to the Walserstrasse (bus stop).

Breitachklamm
From the Gasthof Walserschanz (bus stop) down to the upper entry Breitachklamm. The visit takes about 1 hour with stops at severeal view-points. Take the bus to get back to Walserschanz or walk back the same way.

Kesselschwand
From the casino Riezlern/Post Office bus stop towards Breitachbrücke, turn right into Schwarzwassertalstrasse, immediately right again into Eggstrasse, left after Hotel Erlebach into Kesselschwandweg to the Naturbrücke, via Kesselschwand to the Mahdtalhaus, down to the Schwarzwasserbach crossing the bridge towards Egg, return to Riezlern via the "Sozialzentrum" and Engelbert-Kessler-Strasse.
