Dog Sledding Welcome to Husky Days. Experience one of the most exciting adventures on earth without having to travel to Alaska. Come to Kleinwalsertal and get hooked on the “Fascination Dog Sledding – the feeling of freedom and happiness”
Husky Workshop – an unforgettable experience
Meeting point is the “lagerplatz” by Alpengasthof Hörnlepass. First up is a round of snow shoe hiking lead by our winter guide who will supply you with a hip belt and snow shoes. This takes around 1 hour and you are accompanied by up to four Husky’s who are led by the group participants in turns.
Following this we take a small break at the “lagerplatz”. We will prepare a Tea for you and you can eat the lunch that you have brought with you. Whilst you relax and recuperate we will introduce you to the world of dog sledding and afterwards we will practise the dog sledding without the dogs – braking, steering and stopping.
After the practise round things get serious. Together, we will prepare the dogs and attach two to four dogs to the sled. From this point on you are in control of the dog sled and take it in turns to complete the challenging course we have prepared for you.
To end the Husky workshop you can personally thank the dogs and you’ll receive a small surprise\reminder of your unforgettable winter’s day.
