Festival of Literature

From the 11th to the 13th of October 2019 literary sounds will be heard for the second time in Kleinwalsertal, when authors and protagonists will introduce their works and take us into the world of literature. Be part of it and cross the border between reality and possibility with us.

    "Transcend"


    Only by crossing borders and topological obstacles the Walser migration was possible. For good literature, one might say, the same applies. It also challenges us to cross boundaries, first of all that between reality and fiction, or in other words, between reality and possibility. But even between the writers and readers it blurs when the participants in the text meet to create their common story there.

    When places get in touch with texts

    There are places that are not necessarily associated with literature at first sight, e.g. a church, a swimming pool or a bunker. When these spaces come into contact with texts which have a content-related meaning, the word and the surroundings reinforce their effect. Join us at the Festival of Literature and with us on unknown terrain and experience a unique atmosphere.

    Slam in the valley

    When young poets compete and are eager for the audience's favor, one should listen attentively and let themselves be inspired by the lyrics. Lyrical, funny, emotional or socially critical? Let yourself be surprised.

    SCENIC READING & DISCUSSION

    In 'Die Optimierer', Theresa Hannig introduces us to the year 2052. May we decide freely then? Who will be able to read our thoughts and didn't we want to protect our data better? A topic that stimulates discussion - we are curious.

    Readings

    5 reading places in Riezlern make the holiday literary unique. Every hour on the hour a reading takes place before you stroll comfortably to the next one.

    Panorama POETRY

    For the festival finale, two teams of three face each other at the Poetry Battle. High up at Walmendingerhorn you can listen to exciting lyrics and also your lyric skills are in demand!

REVIEW FESTIVAL of LITERATURE 2017

In 2017, the festival of literature was held for the first time in Kleinwalsertal. Distributed throughout the valley, under the motto "get started", people used to batten, whisper, draw, write and even make music at various locations. If you've missed it, it's best to take part at the next festival of literature in 2019.
