Say no to fireworks this New Year's Eve
On New Year's Eve, the use of fireworks is responsible for tons of garbage, air pollution and extreme noise.
New Year's Eve can be a big burden especially for the very young and old. Animals experience a lot of stress from the use of rockets and loud fireworks. For the first time and out of respect for ourselves, the animals and nature, we call on everybody this year to voluntarily forgo the use of fireworks!
This year we will ring in a new era of what we hope, will become a long and loved tradition in its own right in Kleinwalsertal - without unneccessary rubbish, unneccessary air pollution and extreme noise; Instead of these things, we are looking forward to a colorful spectrum of unique experiences for an awesome New Year without fireworks. How about it, are you in?
Locals like to reminisce about the times that they used to take part in New Year’s jumping: the times when they would pass by the baker’s shop and he would slip them some bread or something sweet or the butcher’s who would let them have a small sausage or some salami. A highlight was also the ski shop where you might get some ski wax. This would only ever happen during the day after the children had waited to receive their own New Year’s greetings.
