Walser Gourmet Days

Kleinwalsertal is also known for the finest honey and beekeeping products. Whether for honey tasting, cooking on alps or enjoying a picnic - taste the culinary diversity!

"Once the bee disappears from the earth, man has only four years left to live. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more people. "(Albert Einstein, 1949). The Bees & Insects theme goes far beyond the Walser Gourmet Days, yet it is the main ingredient of the Walser Gourmet Days 2018. But "WHY" are the "little helpers" so important?
Without bees, there would not only be no honey, even fruits, vegetables and cereals would become luxury goods - the animals pollinate about 80 percent of our useful and wild plants. Every year, more bees die worldwide - various joint actions in the BEEcareful Kleinwalsertal project are designed to counteract bee and insect deaths!

June 10th 2018 - Built an insect hotel

The habitats for bees, ladybugs, earwigs & Co are becoming increasingly rare. How to create new living space? In a joint action we take over the interior design of a new, luxurious insect hotel with self-collected natural material. Everything, of course, under the expert guidance of Andi Haller: As a permaculture gardener, he knows exactly how the bee buzzes and the beetle crawls. Get involved so that we can counteract the insect and bee deaths!
