Biotope excursion: From the Auenhütte around the Geißbühel to the Schwarzwasserbach
Together with the experienced experts Agnes Steiniger and Rosemarie Zöhrer you can get to know the unique natural habitats in your area. Discover a fascinating animal and plant world with many colorful but also inconspicuous and hidden species. A special focus is on the bird life. What is the importance of the feathered creatures in their natural habitat? Which species feel comfortable in which locations and what can we do to ensure that it continues to whistle and chirp around us?
The landscape at the foot of the Ifen still harbors diverse natural areas. Bogs, landslide material, block forest, pastures and the Schwarzwasserbach with their transition zones offer a very varied landscape. Ideal for many living beings, be they plants or animals. Some bird species prefer to settle in such transition zones, partly because insects also find rich conditions here.
Approx. 2 hours should be planned for the excursion. It is also particularly suitable for children aged 6 to 12 years. They have their own playful program with lots of fun. Registration is not required and participation in the tour is free of charge. The excursion takes place in all weather conditions.
