Die Arbeit des Karl Max Kessler Archivs & Begehung der Foto-Installation

The Karl Max Kessler Photo Archive invites you to take a look at its work. In the former Walser Museum right next to the municipal office, over 10,000 negatives taken by Karl Max Kessler during the 20th century are currently being restored and digitised. After an inspection of this exciting and complex work, there will be a tour of the exhibition area of the first photo installation of the Karl Max Kessler Archive at around 11.30 am. This is located at the end of the Kanzelwand descent, please wear sturdy shoes. Afterwards, there will be a cosy evening in the Cantina Vertical at around 1 pm.

The official presentation of the photo installation will take place in the evening at 7 pm in the Walserhaus. The renowned photographer and historian Arno Gisinger, who explored the archive material in the summer of 2023 as part of an artistic residency, will be present.

Meeting Point is at 11 am at the Gemeinde Mittelberg in Riezlern.
