As the regional manager for the European protected area Ifen, Martin Bösch is an absolute connoisseur of "his" protected area. A wide variety of habitats and landscape forms can be admired in the region between the Bregenzerwald and the 2,230 m high peak of the Ifen to the Gottesacker Walls in the neighboring Allgäu. The complex geological subsoil explains this wealth of forms and is accompanied by a particular abundance of plants. In the area you can also find countless species of birds, rare butterflies, reptiles and amphibians, a specialized alpine fauna to bats and remarkable species of moss and lichen.
