Via Ferrata Basic Course
The basic course for all via ferrata hikers and mountaineers.
In this weekend course, our state-certified mountain guides will teach you basic alpine skills for safe mountain behavior. Topics include selecting and using the right equipment, walking and stepping techniques on rock, mountain behavior, and safety in the face of alpine hazards.
The training begins Saturday morning in our natural rock climbing garden. At lunchtime, we'll head high up to the Kanzelwand for an introductory via ferrata, where you'll test and consolidate your basic skills. After an overnight stay in the valley, you'll further develop your skills and refine your technique with the mountain guide during a via ferrata day tour on Sunday.
