EXCURSION: (EARTH)HISTORICAL SEARCH FOR TRACES IN THE Schwarzwassertal
Prof. Dr. Ingmar Unkel accompanies this excursion on the topic of environmental reconstructions. Before the arrival of the Walsers, geological forces and major climatic changes formed the shape of the valley. On a hike along the Schwarzwassertal from the Auenhütte to the Alpe Melköde we will go in search of (earth)historical traces left by ancient oceans and continents, mighty landslides, the forces of water and finally man in the course of time.

The event is part of the "Nature Diversity Days Kleinwalsertal", which will take place this summer from August 31 to September 5, 2023. A multi-day event with excursions and lectures for guests and for locals, for large and small nature lovers. Everything will revolve around the diversity of nature. Each year there will be a different focus to find out how the distribution of various animal and plant species in Kleinwalsertal. This year with the thematic focus "The geology of Kleinwalsertal".
