The unique natural monument Breitachklamm is located between the Kleinwalsertal and Tiefenbach. Walserbus line 1 to the Walserschanze stop or from the Oberstdorf bus station change line 44 to Tiefenbach. The gorge was made accessible in 1905 by the Tiefenbach pastor Johannes Schiebel. It is the deepest rock canyon in Central Europe and attracts over 300,000 visitors every year. It is one of the most impressive geotopes in Bavaria and one of the most popular attractions in the Allgäu. A visit is worthwhile in summer and winter, whatever the weather, because the more water flows, the more impressive the Breitachklamm. The Breitachklamm is currently only accessible in one direction - you walk from the lower entrance in Tiefenbach near Oberstdorf for about 1 hour to the upper exit / passage. From here various hiking trails lead back to Riezlern, to the Söllereckbahn or back to Tiefenbach. If you want to start from the Walserschanz, Kleinwalsertal, you currently have to hike about 1.5 hours to the lower entrance in Tiefenbach. More information at www.breitachklamm.com/corona
