Short description

Short shadowy passages and breathtaking view on the Walser mountain arena characterize this panoramic path connecting Mittelberg and Baad.

Description

If you are looking for the most beautiful winter walk between the villages at the end of the valley, you should take the Baad high path. Behind the last houses of Mittelberge the trail hugs the sunny slope. Rest for a while to enjoy the view over the plain of Bödmen, into Gemsteltal, right up to the top of the Bärenkopf. If you long for both views and a warm drink, you can stop at the Cafe Alpenwald. After a short passage through the shady forest - where you can taste 6 ° C cold water at the source Chalts Bächle - the view opens up again and the magnificent mountain scenery at the end of the valley appears in front of one. To Baad, it is now only a short descent, and at the bottom St. Martin Chapel receives you - and the bus for the return trip. Of course, it is possible to exchange starting point and point of arrival.
