The WESTEGGHÜTTE, a former Sennenalp (traditional mountaincheese producing hut) of the Walser family Tschanhenz-Fritz from Riezlern, lies 1300m high in the area Riezlern-Oberwestegg, a high-lying solar plateau. The WESTEGGHÜTE is located in the midst of high alpine meadows. A hut for nature lovers, because you have a magnificent view over the whole Kleinwalsertal and the proud mountain, from Schlappoldkopf to Widderstein, Walmendingerhorn and Hohen Ifen.

IMPORTANT:
Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the Schwandalpe.
In the case of an omnibus journey, it is possible to change luggage and food at the Schwandalpe.
The hut is only rented to closed groups!

DANGER:
Oberwestegg is located in a car-free zone. We offer you every dream!
No car traffic, noise, dust and exhaust fumes. Only the hut owners, rescue, or doctors, are allowed to go to the huts on Oberwestegg by car.
This gives you the certainty to spend your holidays undisturbed. Of course, the owner of the hut, on request, will transport your luggage, food, beverages, etc. free of charge to the lodging and back to the car park Schwandalpe, where you can also park your omnibus.

INFO:
Approximately 10 minutes from the Westegghütte in the direction of Schönblick, you reach the Alpine village of Mittelalpe, which is a farm on which the cows spend their "summer holidays". From the milk obtained still mountain cheese, Romadur, butter, drinking milk and whey are produced according to old tradition. All products are also avalaible for take away.
The hosts are looking forward to your visit.
Tuesdays rest day, otherwise daily open until 17.00.

Conditions

For dogs we charge EUR 8.00 per night and dog.
The electricity consumption is charged separately on the basis of the meter.
We ask that you bring your own bed linen or sleeping bags, as well as towels and slippers.
We do not charge final cleaning, so we expect to left the house properly. Otherwise, we take the liberty to charge final cleaning costs between Euro 80.00 and Euro 140.00 from the group.
Please note that the Westegghütte can only be booked in summer and is only rented to closed groups.

Room details

The kitchen is spacious. There is running cold and warm water, a large economy electric stove with 6 hotplates and a large oven. Two dishwashers, dishes, a refrigerator, a freezer and a good cellar for storing food and drinks are available. In the hut there are two separate washrooms, each with four washbasins, three toilets and two showers, with running cold and warm water. All rooms can be heated. The old hut parlor exudes the cosiness of the old Walser architecture and has an inscription by the great Walser inventor Leo Müller, who developed the letterpress machine in the hut.

SPORTS & FREETIME
For the athletes there is a table tennis table (indoor), table football and air hockey as well as a meadow playground (approx. 1000 square meters) with volleyball, basketball and football goals right next to our hut. For our little guests there is a children's swing. There is also a grill with 4 table sets for an outdoor snack. Wood for the grill and campfire can be obtained from the hut landlord. There is also a party room with a stereo system in the Westegghütte.
