WALSER ADVENT MAGIC

Imagine the snow crunching softly under your feet, your breath forming little clouds and a steaming mulled wine in your hand: Advent in the mountains is simply enchanting! After this mental trip to the snowy Kleinwalsertal you can now look forward to stories, soft sounds and old Walser customs. Your very own Advent fairy tale is waiting for you!

Also in the coming winter 2023/24, numerous highlights await you at the Walser Advent Magic - from contemplative sounds to Advent concerts to candlelight & mulled wine.

    A ship is coming loaded
    Sunday,  26th November | 5.00 pm, Parish Church Riezlern
    Inspired by the melody from the 16th century, the musicians set the mood for the quiet time with baroque as well as contemporary original works and arrangements. Trumpet: Bartholomäus Natter, Violoncello: Isabella Fink, Organ: Arnold Meusburger

    Advent concert of the vocal ensemble "MännerStimmen"
    Saturday, 2nd December  | 6.00 pm, Parish Church Riezlern
    In Riezlern the eleven singers together with the soprano Maria Beier and the organist Stefan Heim, will perform vocal works for the Advent and Christmas season. They span from the late Middle Ages to modern times, from the vocal polyphony of the Renaissance to Alpine folklore.

    An old custom: the Krampusse, the wild companions of Saint Nicholas, "jump" with their big bells through the village. Meet the sinister figures with their magnificent fur robes and imposing horns. Nobody has to be afraid!

    Thursday, 7th December | 7.00 pm, Parish Church Riezlern
    Concert of the Chorgemeinschaft Kleinwalsertal with the Kinderchor Kleinwalsertal and the Walser Saitenbläsern.

    Christmas market of the HGV
    Friday, 8th December | 3.00 pm, village square Hirschegg
    Atmospheric Christmas market with lovingly decorated stalls, fragrant delicacies and contemplative musical contributions.

    Music for the Christmas season
    Monday, 11th December | 6.00 pm, Parish Church Hirschegg
    The music school Kleinwalsertal presents an advent program with its youngest students.

    Thursday, 14th December | 4.00 pm, Parish Church Baad
    For the christmas mood: enjoy the open singing as a breathing space in the Advent season.

    Advent concert Trachtenkapelle Riezlern "Es wird scho glei dumpa" 
    Sunday, 17th December | 5.00 pm, Parish Church Riezlern
    Atmospheric concert with contemplative and festive sounds to pause and enjoy. The musical hour is opened by the WAJUBA.

    Silence over the village
    Saturday,  23rd  December  | 8.00 pm, music pavilion Mittelberg
    The fire department youth Kleinwalsertal brings the light of peace to Kleinwalsertal. The celebration on the eve of Christmas Eve will be musically framed.
