The Walser weekly market is an experience for all the senses. Every Friday from 09.00 to 12.30 a.m. , from May to October, a wide range of regional products awaits you on the square in front of the Walserhaus in Hirschegg. Fresh food, lovingly designed souvenirs and a warm atmosphere make the market a special meeting place in Kleinwalsertal.
The market square is easily accessible by Walserbus and parking spaces are available directly behind the Walserhaus. In winter, the "small Walser winter weekly market" in the Walserhaus offers a selected range of regional products.

Indulgence and activity come together to create a special experience on the Culinary Valley Hike in the Kleinwalsertal. Set out on your own and hike from stop to stop along the valley floor while enjoying a three-course menu served at three selected hotels.
The tour begins at 11:00 a.m. at Hotel Tradizio with an aperitif and starter. After the first stage of the hike, a hearty main course awaits you at Hotel Birkenhöhe, before you continue to the Genuss- & Aktivhotel Sonnenburg for a sweet finale.
After booking, you will receive a detailed route description. Your booking confirmation also serves as a voucher for your culinary menu. Vegetarian options are available.

Hiking in Search of Cheese Holes: Nature Meets Culinary Tradition
A leisurely hike into the Gemstel Valley leads to the rustic alpine kitchen at Bernhard’s Gemstelalp, where Bernhard Heim—farmer, hut owner, and alpine herdsman—and his team offer insights into traditional mountain cheese-making. You can sample cheese made from organic milk as well as other regional specialties.
After the tasting, the return journey begins through the impressive mountain scenery of the Elfer, Zwölfer, and Kleiner Widderstein—a unique nature and culinary experience blending tradition, hiking, and mountain enjoyment.
