Breitachklamm

The Breitachklamm is located between the Kleinwalsertal and Tiefenbach. Walserbus line 1 - Walserschanze stop. Access to the Breitachklamm is currently only possible via Tiefenbach (D).

The unique natural monument Breitachklamm is located between the Kleinwalsertal and Tiefenbach. Walserbus line 1 to the Walserschanze stop or from the Oberstdorf bus station change line 44 to Tiefenbach. The gorge was made accessible in 1905 by the Tiefenbach pastor Johannes Schiebel. It is the deepest rock canyon in Central Europe and attracts over 300,000 visitors every year. It is one of the most impressive geotopes in Bavaria and one of the most popular attractions in the Allgäu. A visit is worthwhile in summer and winter, whatever the weather, because the more water flows, the more impressive the Breitachklamm.

Opening times

Summer:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last admission)

Winter:
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last admission)

In winter, there may be short-term closings in the event of a drop in heat or a thaw.

On 12/24 the Breitachklamm closes at 2 p.m. On 12/31 the Breitachklamm closes at 3 p.m.
