The Gottesacker plateau is only accessible in summer with very good equipment and mountain experience or with mountain guides and only in good weather.

The Gottesacker Plateau, the most important karst landscape in Austria and Germany, consisting of Schrattenkalk, with a variety of weathering forms and rare plant species, is more than 100 million years old. The Gottesacker plateau is only accessible in summer with very good equipment and mountain experience or with mountain guides and only in good weather. In winter, a 5 km long winter hiking trail leads along the Gottesacker (accessible only by lift - only open in good weather).
