Day course in avalanche search for winter sports enthusiasts

Proper handling of safety equipment

Every Saturday from December 19, 2026, to March 27, 2027

Anyone considering conquering the free skiing areas and the untouched winter landscape needs to be aware of the risks. In addition to assessing avalanche conditions, knowing how to properly handle safety equipment is particularly important. This day course provides an initial insight into this.

The use of avalanche transceivers, shovels, and probes needs to be learned and, above all, practiced regularly. Basic knowledge is an advantage, and in some cases, essential for all guided tours. Therefore, we recommend this course to all beginners to gain initial impressions and also to those who have already been in the field for a refresher. For practical exercises, we will go into the terrain close to the valley.
