Forest Fire Ordinance—Prohibition of All Open Fires and Smoking in Forest Areas and Their Immediate Vicinity
Due to the current drought, it is prohibited to light fires of any kind in forested areas and the adjacent high-risk zone until further notice. This also applies to the barbecue area on Burmiweg. -
Current Trail Closure & Detour: Riezler Höhenweg
The “Riezler Höhenweg” will be closed from August 3 to August 14, 2026, due to renovation work! Please use the detour! -
Current road closures for safety reasons
Due to the risk of rockfall, the connecting trail from the Kanzelwand descent to Köpfle (Zwerenbach Bridge) is closed. -
Current road closures & detours in the Heuberg/Walmendingerhorn area
Due to construction work, the following trails/trail sections are closed: Summit trail to the Walmendingerhorn from March 19 to December 24, 26 The “Hennenalp” forest trail, starting approximately 150 meters south of the Stutzalpe and extending to the “Großer Stein” junction, is closed from March 19 to December 24, 2026. The only accessible route is the mountain trail between the Stutzalpe and Baad, and vice versa. This trail is not suitable for strollers! The trail from the Obere Walmendingeralpe toward the Lüchlealpe is closed. Both alpine pastures are open and easily accessible.
