Exhibition opening Paula Weil: A journey through….

The drawings by Paula Weil deal with places of travel and encounter, such as cafés. People come and go, conversations and glances cross paths, brief moments of connection arise. She herself spends hours there, observing, sketching, and becomes part of the event. This results in drawings that create new realities through the overlay of space and time, where more community occurs in everyday life. Her drawings show how much beauty exists in the inconspicuous moments of daily life. We just have to discover them. 

Paula was born in Stuttgart and studied architecture. Her master's thesis "Everyday Coexistence" deals with community and the question of how coexistence arises when a new neighborhood is developed.

The work was created as part of the project "the open valley," where artists are invited to showcase their work in public. An initiative by artist and curator Mathias Kessler for the cultural and customs working group of the municipality of Mittelberg.

The images are on display at 10 bus stops and at Café Cantina Vertical.
