Sweet temptations: Honey menus from the gourmet chefs

You definitely have never tasted these honey creations - only at the Walser Gourmet Days from June 7th until June 10th, 2018!

Regional cuisine, a decent shot of creativity and a touch of hospitality: that's what characterizes the Walser gourmet chefs. At this year's Walser Gourmet Days (gourmet days), four innkeepers have once again made a good job: The results are multi-course menus in which the Walser honey comes along quite differently ...

Incidentally, the ingredients are not only from Kleinwalsertal, but also from other Austrian regions. Since the menus are offered only on four days, reservations are requested.

Hoheneck: Walser honey

That cheese and honey are a perfect combination is no news to gourmets chefs. However, Jürgen Denk from Wirtshaus Hoheneck gets the most daring combinations for his honey and gourmet menu: Whether crunchy honey crackers, a salmon marinated in a honey and herb marinade or the fir honey onions next to a potato praline stuffed with Walser cheese - we melt away as we listen. As a dessert he serves a combination of dandelion honey and the potato dumpling.

A spicy-sweet Liason for connoisseurs who want to get the most out of it.

Haller's gourmet honey menu

The menu by the head chef of Haller's Posthotel seems to be rather sober and puristic: Apart from the ingredients, he won't tell much about the dish. But the honeys are definitely chosen with care: fir honey, acacia honey, blossom honey and pine tree honey. Plus we already know where it comes from. Of course, the main part of the four courses is different: the char, the bovine ham, the venison or the strawberry - there is not much more to tell from the menus so far.

To all connoisseurs who like to be surprised - have a lot of fun with this menu!

Walserstuba: our menu with three different kinds of honey

Jeremias Riezler's honey menu seems to be inspired by walks across the Walser mountains. The first dish is a smart combination of alpine honey with lukewarm cheese from the Stutzalp. Also we bet you have never tasted mountain blossom honeycombs with Walser deer before? So now you have the chance to try! And be aware: For those who know soft ice only from the beach holiday - the combination with dandelion honey will probably knock off your socks!

Get excited for exotic flower-honey dishes!
