Forest Fire Ordinance—Prohibition of All Open Fires and Smoking in Forest Areas and Their Immediate Vicinity
Due to the current drought, it is prohibited to light fires of any kind in forested areas and the adjacent high-risk zone until further notice. This also applies to the barbecue area on Burmiweg. -
Current Trail Closure: “Unterer Lüchlewald” Aug. 31–Sept. 4, 2026
Due to forestry work, the hiking trail between the “Untere Lüchlealpe” and Baad (Starzelweg) is closed. An alternative route via the forest road is available. -

Current Road Closures & Detours: Heuberg/Walmendingerhorn Area
“Hennenalp” forest trail, starting approximately 150 meters south of the Stutzalpe and continuing to the junction with the “Baader Höhenweg” from March 19 through December 24, 2026. Only the mountain trail between the Stutzalpe and Baad—and vice versa—is accessible. This trail is not suitable for strollers! -
Current Road Closures & Detours: Heuberg/Walmendingerhorn Area
The trail from the Obere Walmendingeralpe toward the Lüchlealpe is closed (on October 10, the trail will be open for the “Hike the Valley” event). Both alpine huts are open and easily accessible.
