Cheese hike to Gemstel Valley

Hiking in the footsteps of cheese holes: Nature experience meets culinary tradition.

A pleasant hike into the Gemsteltal leads to the rustic dairy kitchen of Bernhard’s Gemstelalp, where Bernhard Heim – farmer, hut host, and dairyman – along with his team, provides insights into traditional mountain cheese production. Cheese made from organic milk and other regional specialties can be tasted.

After enjoying the delicacies, the return journey begins through the impressive mountain scenery of Elfer, Zwölfer, and Kleiner Widderstein – a unique experience of nature and cuisine between tradition, hiking, and mountain delight.
