Via Ferrata Basic Course

The basic course for all via ferrata hikers and mountaineers.

In this weekend course, our state-certified mountain guides will teach you the basic skills needed for safe behavior in the mountains. Topics include selecting the right equipment and how to use it, walking and climbing techniques on rock, behavior in the mountain environment, and safety regarding alpine hazards.

The training starts on Saturday morning in our natural rock climbing garden. At noon, we’ll ascend to Kanzelwand for a taster via ferrata - where the first skills will be tested and solidified. After an overnight stay in the valley, on Sunday, skills will be further developed during a via ferrata day tour, and the technique will be refined together with the mountain guide.
