Short description

Walser Omgang hike - recognize your limits. An activating / balancing half-day tour.

Description

This hike will allow for an unforgetably beautiful borderline experience regardless whether you choose the activating or the balancing route. In the following description you will find the activating day hike starting in Riezlern:

Between Kanzelwand valley station and Almhof Rupp there is a trail up to Riezler Höhenweg. Walk a bit out of the valley and turn right at the water wading pool Schwand. Follow the steeper path up to Riezler Alp. Take a brake at the clearing and get some fresh spring water. From there on follow the ascent up to the Gundsattel and Riezler Alpsee. In direction out of the valley walk alongside the ridge (on the left there is Austria, on the right Germany) via Fellhorn and Schlappold to Söllereck. The ridge is not very exposed, but you should not be afraid of heights either. At Söllereck the Alpweg, the former, historic connection to Kleinwalsertal, starts. Alongside this way you will find five stations that will give you information about the topic of alpine farming. After you passed Mittelalp and Bergstüble the trails leads you back to Riezlern.
